Yoga Geometrics
From the Beauty of Nature to the Power of Science
A 4-Week Course with Sharoni Fixler

The essential shapes of yoga poses are harmonious and purposeful structures, reflected in nature. We bring the body back toward its natural state of being and alignment. This includes the bones, muscles and organs. We create an inner atmosphere conducive to restoration and homeostasis of the physiological systems and a deep calming of the nervous system, rejuvenating the spirit.

Week 1: Standing Poses
Week 2: Seated Poses + Forward Extensions
Week 3: Backward Extensions
Week 4: Inversions + Breathwork

Join this exploratory and interactive course of practice and learning about how the shapes and angles of the poses access the full scope of what yoga is. Work with each family of postures to access yoga as an art through graceful expression, a science through the physical and physiological effects and as a philosophy, accessing key principles of yogic living and the meditative potency of the practice.

Open to students of all levels.
